Today started with Mahavishnu Orchestra’s “Visions of the Emerald Beyond”. Genre-bending from classical to jazz to funk and back on to rock. Conveys everything yet says nothing verbally. Complex but never boring, it leaves u at the top of the mountain ready for Fishbone’s “Truth and Soul”.
Fishbone doesn’t bring you down the mountain, they throw you off the cliff..lol. Freaky, funky, and contagious while still maintaining superior musicianship. Conquers serious topics without ever sounding preachy. Perfect way to jump in to Friday night!
